Red Swan Pizza Franchise Fit-Out on Bank Street, Ottawa
Noblestar Construction built the Red Swan Pizza location at 1940 Bank Street in Ottawa, taking an empty commercial unit to a finished franchise restaurant with a full commercial kitchen, a customer service area and a barrier-free washroom.
The Client
Red Swan Pizza is a Canadian pizza franchise. The owner of the Bank Street location needed a contractor who could build to the franchisor's brand standards and coordinate with the franchise team throughout the project.
The Challenge
A franchise restaurant has two sets of requirements. The space has to meet Ontario Building Code and City of Ottawa requirements, and it has to match the franchisor's design, finishes and signage exactly. The kitchen also needed a commercial exhaust hood and ventilation, which is one of the most technical parts of any restaurant fit-out.
What We Built
Front of house: a service counter with wood slat feature walls, a black ceiling grid, large format tile flooring, a seating area with built-in counters and the illuminated Red Swan logo feature.
Back of house: the commercial kitchen, including the exhaust hood over the pizza ovens, the ventilation ductwork and the dishwashing station.
Accessibility: a barrier-free washroom with an automatic door opener, a push-to-open button, an emergency call button with audible and visual alarm, grab bars and accessible fixtures, finished in white subway tile with a red accent stripe that matches the brand.
Signage: the rooftop sign and interior graphics, supplied and installed through our preferred sign partner, who we work with on every project for consistent, high quality results.
Design and coordination were handled in-house by Noblestar Construction team.
The Result
The location was completed in September 2026. The owner and Red Swan's regional manager were happy enough with the result to refer Noblestar to their next franchisee in Ottawa.
